Message Your insurance will be responsible for damages to his vehicle. And as far as your record, in general, you get a point if you get a ticket from the accident. If you didn't get a ticket, but there are bodily injuries, you get a point. If no ticket, no bodily injuries, no point. Regardless of whose fault it is, all accidents show on your DMV record. Just keep a record of the accident to show the party at fault.
